whet is hella excited to return to Oakland Secret for their annual Counter Current Art Exhibit on July 20, 2024! Counter Current focuses on showcasing art, vendors, organizations and live acts that challenge capitalism and colonialism, and this year’s rendition promises to be extra special. In addition to local artists, vendors, and organizations, attendees can look forward to live music, poets, and thoughtful discussion from 1p-3p. Plus, the Gaza Bay Area Mutual Aid Collective will be selling delicious (لذيذ) Palestinian food! Best of all, the event is free—so you can save what you’ve got to support small businesses working to create thoughtful and creative forms of resistance—like whet. (#shamelessplug)
